A Friday Round Up
Happy Friday everyone!
I’m excited for the weekend to arrive.
This post is about a few things: stuff about to arrive, and stuff that arrived.
Impending Ottoman Arrival
Breaking news — The new ottomans that match the deck chairs have arrived in store, and once this post is done, I’m off to acquire them. YAY!

New ottomans for the deck
I’ll add them to the deck, style it and photograph for sharing on Monday.
It’s safe to assume that they’ll look better assembled, than my photoshopping implies – wink wink.
One step closer to a fully styled deck.
Our First Domestic Tattoo Monograms are Here
In the original post about our married monogram, I’d forgotten that I did have pre-married monogram from a long time ago.

My Pre-married Monogram Cocktail Napkin, circa 1997
Today, I’ll share with you the first generation of our married monogram (i.e. the domestic tattoo) on our new linen dinner napkins.

The images within did what many pretty picture books do quite well…
whipped me up to a frothing coveting frenzy
compelling me to procure my own schmancy fancy pants married monogram (i.e. a domestic tattoo)
Sigh – I dislike that I am SUCH a consumer, but I come by it honestly – my mother was the SAME way.
You may recall the design we settled on is this:

Our Married Monogram – H & F intwined forever
And this is how the finished product came out.

I think I have a bit of tweaking to do on the monogram,
Either the H insides need more color
or MAYBE…
the F receives the same outline as the H, with no inside coloring…

The Domestic Tattoo Up Close
HMMMM – what do you think?
Summer Blooms
The prolonged winter has affected many blooming plants, the day lilies and hydrangeas showing much MUCH later than normal.

Hydrangeas starting to bloom
The first hydrangeas of the season have begun to bloom.

It’s quite a happy sight to see their mop heads in full glorious color.

That’s all for now, hope you have a great weekend, see you on Monday!
