Happy St. Patrick’s Day?
Green is typically the color most associated with St. Patrick’s day. So it was a bit odd, but sadly, not unexpected, for white is the color of this St. Patrick’s Day.
Here is our deck furniture, dressed in her snowy finest for St. Patty’s Day.
Last night, about 8pm, as we made our way home from a surprise birthday party where I had the best champagne I’ve ever tasted from Oddbins, the snow slowly came down in huge wet flakes. The wind was enough to make it look like the inside of a snow globe and it was beautiful.
Now the snow fall is tapering off, and there is a blanket of white everywhere. It’s certainly pretty to look at – snow on trees and shrubs undisturbed. We’ve reached our high of 30 degrees, and soon we will begin the task of shoveling out and snow removal from the cars so we can return to work tomorrow. Sigh.I’m looking forward to the vernal equinox on Thursday, and with it some rising temperatures and I pray – NO MORE SNOW.
